any new things to expect?

Postby danilody on Wed Apr 21, 2010 7:47 pm

Been searching BC website for any news regarding PS or what to expect in the future. Anyone knows a link, please share it with me.

Been using PS for 10 years. As I'm planning for future deployment, I need to know what to expect from PS. For my future deployment, I'm more interested on the following improvement;
- DirectStandby to include a tool to sync configuration from box to box (auto-sync and force-sync)
- Increase Maximum Throughput for PS7500 from its current 200Mbps
- Increase number of hosts in ViolatingHost list

TIA

Hi,

- Increase Maximum Throughput for PS7500 from its current 200Mbps
- Increase number of hosts in ViolatingHost list

I think for all this subjetc, you have nothing to wait in future.
Next step for packetshaper will be URL category filtering ...

But as you know, the shaper is limited by his OS ...

Then in my opinion, no revolution with no new OS :-)

If someone have more news ..

Thanks Vincent.

When I log a case about slowness problem in my PacketShaper, I have been told that there is new things coming but BC will not announce it yet.

Anyway, I'm not happy with the support respond to my case. Although we are working together to isolate the problem to find out the root cause, it surprises me that their closing statement is far from the root cause :) following their closing statement it will not solve the slowness problem. I have to use one of the steps that we did during the problem isolation and expand from there and it solved the slowness problem :)
