Hello,
Thanks for your time.
How do we classify or segregate the traffic running on the Internet and MPLS which is connected on the PS3500
My scenario is, I have a PS3500 (8.5.4) connected inline between the Internet and MPLS routers and the firewall on the LAN side. The internet is connected to the Main and the MPLS is connected to the LEM card. Both the Internet and MPLS are having a bandwidth of 12Mbps (upload and download). We are having a few servers running in DMZ where we have ERP and mail servers are hosted. Around 130 branches are accessing these servers over MPLS and they access the ERP and mail.
Few branches are facing some delay and congestion in accessing these services from the respective servers. We are trying to provide the solution and to find by means of identifying.
We are deploying this PS3500 to fix these issues by means of analyzing the server delay, network delay and response time and there by setting some QoS. We are not diving to do some fine grain configuration as this is a Proof of Concept. We need to show the management the real root cause of these issues.
As of now, we took some 11 branches where they face issues and I have created a separate class for these 11 branches to identify these issues. I would like to create a class for the servers to find the response time.
Do you have any recommendation for these kind of setup?
How can I segregate the Internet and MPLS internet traffic in the PS using partition?
How does the configured class behaves when they traffic flow through these class? Can I have a server class and the branches classes in the same Inbound/Outbound tree and does the matched traffic will get into both the server class as well the branch class?
Please let me know if you require any clarification
Thanks
